Chapter 86 : Surah At-Tariq – 17 Verses
In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful.
86:2
And what will make you to know what At-Tariq (night-comer) is?
86:3
(It is) the star of piercing brightness;
Piercing: (of eyes or a look) appearing to see through.
86:4
(Just as Allah Almighty is taking care of each star in the galaxies, similarly) over each soul there is an appointed guardian angel.
86:5
Now let man but think from what he is created!
86:6
He is created from a drop emitted–
Meaning:-
Emitted: discharge, release,
86:7
Proceeding from between the back-bone and the ribs,
86:8
Surely He, the Creator, has the power to bring him back to life,
86:9
The Day when all the secrets (deeds, prayers, fasting, etc.) will be examined (as to their truth).
86:10
Then man will have no power or any helper.
86:11
By the sky (having rain clouds) which gives rain, again and again.
86:12
and by the earth which is ever bursting with new growth;
86:13
surely this Qur’an is a decisive word,
Meaning:-
Decisive: producing a definite result.
86:14
and it is no joke.
86:15
These unbelievers of Makkah are plotting a scheme (against you O Muhammad).
86:16
And I (too) am planning a plan.
86:17
Therefore, leave the unbelievers alone. Leave them alone for a while.
