O Prophet! Why do you prohibit ˹yourself˺ from what Allah has made lawful to you, seeking to please your wives? And Allah is All-Forgiving, Most Merciful.

Chapter 66 : Surah At-Tahrim – 12 Verses
In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful.
66:2
Allah has already lawful for you [Muslims] the dissolution of your oaths. And Allah is your protector, and He is the Knowing, the Wise.
66:3
˹Remember˺ when the Prophet had ˹once˺ confided something to one of his wives, then when she disclosed it ˹to another wife˺ and Allah made it known to him, he presented ˹to her˺ part of what was disclosed and overlooked a part. So when he informed her of it, she exclaimed, “Who told you this?” He replied, “I was informed by the All-Knowing, All-Aware.”
66:4
If you both (wives of the Prophet, namely ‘Aishah and Hafsah) turn to Allah, then indeed your hearts are already inclined (to oppose what the Prophet likes) and if you back up each other against him (Muhammad), then surely Allah it is Who is his Guardian, and Jibreel and -the believers that do good, and furthermore the angels are his helpers..
66:5
It may well be that, if he divorce you all, his Lord will give him in your place better wives than yourselves, submissive, faithful, obedient, penitent, worshippers and keepers of fasting; be they previously married or virgins.
66:6
O you who have believed, protect yourselves and your families from a hellfire whose fuel is people and stones, over which are [appointed] angels, harsh and severe; they do not disobey Allah in what He commands them but do what they are commanded.
66:7
They will say to the unbelievers: “O unbelievers! Make no excuses for yourselves this Day. You are being rewarded according to your deeds.”
66:8
O believers! Turn to Allah in sincere repentance. It may well be that your Lord will remove from you your sins and admit you to gardens under which rivers flow. On that Day Allah will not humiliate the Prophet and those who believe with him. Their light will shine in front of them and on their right, and they will say: “Our Lord! Perfect our light for us and grant us forgiveness, for You have power over all things.”
